On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up, to take practice of the campaign called for “mass entrepreneurship and innovation”, the Internet Plus Alliance (IPA) successfully held the “Internet +” collaborative research and development seminar on December 18 in Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area Office of IPA was established!
In the seminar, the representative from the Department of Information and Software Services of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology expressed that the promotion of the “Internet +” initiative is of great significance. The Party Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to Internet work, and the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee incorporated the “network power” in the “13th Five-Year Plan”, which clearly proposed to implement the “network power” strategy and the “Internet +” action plan. He introduced the new progress in the development of China’s “Internet +” and made several suggestions for the seminar discussion and IPA consideration. First, to strengthen the research on the next generation of information technology; second, to consolidate the development foundation of collaborative research and development; third, to create a sound development environment and the fourth is to continue to explore new energy for industrial development. The local government representatives from Economic,Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen attended the seminar.
Yang Hua, Secretary General of the Internet Plus Alliance, pointed out in his speech that “Internet +” as a new economic form, is the new form of new development under the innovation 2.0 powered by Internet; but also it reflects the economic and social development evolved in the innovation-driven knowledge society. In recent years, China has achieved dramatic progress in the new generation of information technology and cross-border integration represented by Internet technology. Under the guidance of the Government’s innovative development policy, some industries in China have already taken the lead in the world. However, at the same time, there are shortcomings or weakness in inter-communication between traditional industries and Internet companies. The Internet Plus Alliance will work to facilitate the bilateral and multilateral integration and innovation.
Ahead of the “Internet +” collaborative research and development seminar, there was launching ceremony of Greater Bay Area Office of Internet Plus Alliance (IPA), which is situated in Shenzhen Digital Technology Park and expected to take full advantage of the talents, technology and industry-friendly environment in Guangdong, Hongkong and Macao Greater Bay Area.
Overviewing the existing status of domestic and international developers’ platforms, there is common phenomenon that developers can’t take use of the cross-platform and the mutual cooperation is difficult. The seminar focused on the following three aspects, the orientation platform led by the industry bellwethers, the intermediary service platform and the application platform of innovative developers.
The IPA members including Huawei, Tencent, Baidu, NVC Lighting, CETC, CMCC and SMEs etc. took part in the seminar and shared with the audience their innovative solutions and developer platforms. The presentations and showcase are as follows:
